Habitat Parts Inquiry Activity: Students work in teams to develop the perfect living environment for the animal they are assigned. Students discover what all of these habitats have in common.
Formal Introduction of Parts of a Habitat: Explain five parts of a habitat (food, water, shelter, space, air)
with motions
Outside Habitat Inquiry: In partners, students will inquire on what is missing from the environment outside our window. Students will ask what they would need to make this space a bird habitat.
Full Group Habitat Plan: Students will develop a plan of what needs to be included to help birds thrive in the environment outside the classroom's window.
